Japanese Language Book Shin Nihongo no Kiso 1 Chapter 12 Section B Part 4 in Page 98

This is another article where the main content is to answer problems or questions exist in Shin Nihongo no Kiso I book. The problems or the questions has an example as the answer pattern for answering it. It is available in Chapter 12 Section B Part 4 in page 97.  In this article, the main grammar pattern is about answering the question by using an adjective comparison. It is using ‘yori’ to compare the characteristic of one to another in the context of the degree. So, it will have a higher degree of characteristic of the adjective of one to another. For an example, in order to compare which object is the longer or the bigger one. So, below is the grammar pattern for answering the problems and also an example using it :

Pattern :

Kanji : Aは

Hiragana : Aは

けいようし
Romaji : A wa B yori keiyoushi
Meaning : A compared to B is more adjective .

Using the above pattern, below is an example of the sentences :

Kanji : この青い鞄はその赤い鞄より値段が高いです。
Hiragana : このあおいかばんはそのあかいかばんよりねだんがたかいです。
Romaji : Kono aoi kaban was sono akai kaban yori nedan ga takai desu.
Meaning : This blue bag compared that red bag is more expensive. (This blue bag is more expensive than that red bag).

 

So, using the same example as the above grammar pattern and example, the following is the answer sheet as a reference for the problems or questions exist in Shin Nihongo no Kiso I Chapter 12 Section B Part 4 in page 98 :

  1. Answer :Kanji :9月は8月より涼しいです。

    Hiragana :

    9がつは8がつよりすずしいです。

    Romaji :

    Kuugatsu wa hachigatsu yori suzushii desu.

    Meaning :

    September compared to August is cooler. (September is cooler than August).

  2. Answer :Kanji :東京は 大阪より 人が 多いです。

    Hiragana :

    とうきょうは おおさかより ひとが おおいです。

    Romaji :

    Toukyou wa Oosaka yori hito ga ooi desu.

    Meaning :

    Tokyo compared to Oosaka has a lot more people. (Tokyo has a lot of people than Oosaka).

  3. Answer :Kanji :ラオさんはリーさんより若いです。

    Hiragana :

    ラオさんはリーさんよりわかいです。

    Romaji :

    Rao-san wa Ri-san yori wakai desu.

    Meaning :

    Rao compared to Lee is younger. (Rao is younger than Lee).

  4. Answer :Kanji :中国は日本より大きいです。

    Hiragana :

    ちゅうごくはにほんよりおおきです。

    Romaji :

    Chuugoku wa nihon yori ookii desu.

    Meaning :

    China compared to Japan is larger. (China is larger than Japan).

  5. Answer :Kanjiハンさんはナロンさんより日本語が上手です。

    Hiragana :

    ハンさんはナロンさんよりにほんごがじょうずです。

    Romaji :

    Han-san wa Naron-san yori nihongo ga jyouzu desu.

    Meaning :

    Han compared to Naron is smarter in Japanese language. (Han is better in Japanese language than Naron).

So, the above answer are the possible answers for the problems exist in Shin Nihongo no Kiso I Chapter 12 Section B Part 4 in page 98.
