Japanese Language Book Shin Nihongo no Kiso 1 Chapter 10 Additional Section Part 5 in Page 85

This article consist of a problem set containing short passage consists of several paragraphs. The questions are in the form of a short sentence or statement. So, by looking the correct information from the short passage, decide whether the short sentences or statements in the question is true or false. So, the main focus for answering the problem set is to be able to decide whether the sentences or statements given is true or false. The information to decide the sentence or statement is true or false is available in the short passage. Just look in every paragraph in the short passage, there will be suitable information about it The following is the problem sheet and also the possible answer of it :

Kanji  :

わたしは 韓国の キムです。NTC の研修系です。わたしの 部屋は 424です。4階に あります。小さいですが、 きれいです。

センターに 食堂が あります。いろいろな 料理が あります。韓国料理も あります。わたしは 毎日 センターの 食堂で ごはんを 食べます。たいへん おいしいです。

センターから 駅まで 歩いて 10文です。駅の 近くに デパートや 大きい スーパーが あります。たいへん にぎやかです。

Hiragana :

わたしは かんこくの キムです。NTC のけんしゅうせいです。わたしの へやは 424です。4かいに あります。ちいさいですが、 きれいです。

センターに しょくどうが あります。いろいろな りょうりが あります。かんこくりょうりも あります。わたしは まいにち センターの しょくどうで ごはんを たべます。たいへん おいしいです。

センターから えきまで あるいて 10ぷんです。えきの ちかくに デパートや 大きい スーパーが あります。たいへん にぎやかです。

Romaji       :

Watashi wa kankoku no kimu desu. NTC no kenshuusei desu. Watashi no heya wa 424 desu. 4 kai ni arimasu. Chiisai desu ga , kirei desu.

Senta- ni shokudou ga arimasu. Iro iro na ryouri ga arimasu. Kankoku ryouri mo arimasu. Watashi wa mai nichi senta- no shokudou de gohan wo tabemasu. Taihen oishii desu.

Senta- kara eki made aruite 10pun desu. Eki no chikaku ni depa-to ya ookii su-pa- ga arimasu. Taihen nigiyaka desu.

Meaning :

I am Kim from Korea. (I am an) NTC researcher. My room is 424. It is in the 4th floor. It is small, but it is lovely.

There is a dining place at the center. There is also lots of dishes. There is also Korean dishes. I eat (have a lunch) at the dining place of the center every day. It is very delicious.

It only 10 minutes on walk from the center to the train station. There is a department store and big supermarket near the train station. It is very crowded.

 

So, the following are the sentences or statements given as part of the problem sheet. Just decide whether the sentences or the statements is true or false according the information exist in the short passage. Just check the problem sheet in Shin Nihongo no Kiso 1 Chapter 10 Additional Section Part 5 in Page 85. The following are the alternatives anwer for that problem sheet :

1. Statement

Kanji                  : わたしの部屋は 5階です。

Hiragana           : わたしのへやは 5かいです。

Romaji               : Watashi no heya wa 5 kai desu.

Meaning           : My room is in the fifth floor.

Answer : False

The information is available in the 1st paragraph in the 3rd statement and the 4th statement :

Kanji                  : わたしの 部屋は 424です。4階に あります。

Hiragana           : わたしの へやは 424です。4かいに あります。

Romaji               : Watashi no heya wa 424 desu. 4 kai ni arimasu.

Meaning           : My room is 424. It is in the 4th floor.

So, the statement is false, because according the 3rd and the 4th sentences from the 1st paragraph, the room is in the 4th floor. It is not in the 5th floor.

2. Statement

Kanji                  : わたしの 部屋は 大きいです。そして きれいです。

Hiragana           : わたしの へやは おおきいです。 そして きれいです。

Romaji               : Watashi no heya wa ookii desu. Soshite kirei desu.

Meaning           : My room is big. Moreover it is lovely.

Answer : False

The information is available from the 1st paragraph in the 5th sentence :

Kanji                  : 小さいですが、きれいです。

Hiragana           : ちいさいですが、きりいです。

Romaji               : Chiisai desu ga, kirei desu.

Meaning           : It is small, but it is lovely.

According to the 5th sentence of the 1st  paragraph, the room is small but lovely. So, the statement is false, because according to the information in that sentence the apartment is small.

3. Statement

Kanji                  : センターの 食堂は いろいろな 国の 料理が あります。

Hiragana           : せんたーの しょくどうは いろいろな くにの りょうりが あります。

Romaji               : Senta- no shokudou wa iro iro na kuni no ryouri ga arimasu.

Meaning           : There is a various country’s dishes in the dining room’s center.

Answer : True

The information is available from the 2nd paragraph of the 2nd and 3rd sentence :

Kanji                  : いろいろな 料理が あります。韓国料理も あります。

Hiragana           : いろいろな りょうりが あります。かんこくりょうりも あります。

Romaji               : Iro iro na ryouri ga arimasu. Kankoku ryouri mo arimasu.

Meaning           : There are various of dishes. There are also korean dishes.

According to the sentences from the 2nd  paragraph in the 2nd and 3rd sentence, it can be concluded that there are various kind of dishes and one of them is from another country which in the above example is from Korea. So, the statement that the restaurant has dishes from various country is true.

4. Statement

Kanji                  : 毎日 センターの 近くの レストランで ごはんを 食べます。

まいにち センターの ちかくの レストランで ごはんを たべます。

Mai nichi senta- no chikaku no resutoran de gohan wo tabemasu.

I eat (have a lunch) at the restaurant near the center every day.

Answer : False

The information is available from the 2nd paragraph of the 4th sentence :

Kanji                  : わたしは 毎日 センターの 食堂で ごはんを 食べます。

Hiragana           : わたしは まいにち センターの しょくどうで ごはんを たべます。

Romaji               : Watashi wa mai nichi senta- no shokudou de gohan wo tabemasu.

Meaning           : I eat (have a lunch) at the dining place’s the center every day.

According to the above sentence, the subject eat or having lunch every day is not in a restaurant near the center, but it is in the dining place of the center itself.

5. Statement

Kanji                  : センターの 近くに スーパーや 公園が あります。

Hiragana           : センターの ちかくに スーパーや こうえんが あります。

Romaji               : Senta- no chikaku ni su-pa- ya kouen ga arimasu.

Meaning           : There is a supermarket and park near the center.

Answer : False

The information is available from the 3rd  paragraph of the 2nd  sentence :

Kanji                  : 駅の 近くに デパートや 大きい スーパーが あります。

Hiragana           : えきの ちかくに デパートや おおきい スーパーが あります。

Romaji               : Eki no chikaku ni depa-to ya ookii su-pa- ga arimasu.

Meaning           : There is a department store and big supermarket near the train station.

According to the fact sentence above, there is no park indicated in the sentence. In that case, the statement is false.
