Kanji 一日 (ichinichi)
The second example which is read with on-yomi or Mandarin Reading Style is the usage of word ‘ichinichi’. This word is also made from two kanjis or in other word is a form of jukugo. The first kanji is kanji 一which means one. And also, the next kanji is kanji 日, whereas the kanji itself is a kanji that symbolizes day. So, if these two kanji is combined the word will have a meaning of one day or a day.
