1.車の中に男の子が何人いますか。

Roman Letter :

Kuruma no naka ni otoko no ko ga nan nin imasuka ?

Meaning :

How many boy is there in the car ?


1)。車 1.しゃ ②.くるま 3.ちゃ 4.くろま

Answer : 2 (kuruma)

It is a kanji symbolizes a car and also means a car. It is spelled as ‘kuruma’ in kun-yomi (Japanese Reading Method).

2)。中 ①.なか 2.なっか 3.ちゅう4.ちゅん

Answer : 1 (naka)

It is a kanji which means inside and is pronounced as ‘naka’ in kun-yomi (Japanese Reading Method).

3)。男の子1.おんなのこ②.おとこのこ3.おどこのこ4.おうなのこ

Answer : 2 (otoko no ko)

It is consists of two kanjis, the first one is 男 (otoko) and the second one after hiragana no is kanji子 (ko). The first kanji which is otoko symbolizes a male or a man whereas the second kanji describes a child. So, literally otoko no ko means a boy.

Grammar :

Form: (noun)の~(noun)


Usage : This (の)’no’ particle is a particle which is generally used to combine twoor more nouns. The noun which precedes the particle will act as a descriptor for
the noun that supercedes the particle as the example above.

4)。何人 1.なにひと2.なんじん3.なにじん ④.なんにん 

        Answer : 4 (nan nin)

                   It is also consists of two kanjis which means how many person?. The first kanji is 何(nani) that is       pronounced as ‘nan’ since the kanji itself is combined with the second kanji 人(hito).

2.一日二十四時間です。そして、一時間は六十分で、一分は六十びょうです。

Roman Letter :

Ichi nichi ni jyuu yon jikan desu. Soshite, ichi jikan wa rokujyuppun de, ippun wa rokujyuubyou desu.

Meaning :

One day is 24 hours. And, 1 hour is 60 minutes, 1 minute is 60 seconds.

1)。一日 1.ついたち2.ひとひ3.いちじつ④.いちひち

Answer : 4 (ichi nichi)

It is consists of two kanjis which is ichi which means one () and nichi ()which means day. So the meaning after those two kanjis were combined literally will be a day or one day.

2)。二十四時間 1.にじゅうしじげん2.にじゅうよんじけん③.にじゅうよじかん4.にじゅうしじかん

Answer : 3 (ni jyuu yon jikan)

It means 24 hours which is written in kanji letter. The first kanji is kanji which means 2 and the second one is kanji which describes 10 and the third kanji which is kanji characterizes 4. So, if those three kanjis were joined together it will means 24. The rest two kanjis (ji) and (kan) is pronounced as ‘jikan’ which means hour.

3)。一分 ①.いっぷん2.いちふん3.いちぶ4.いちぶん

Answer : 1

It means one minute. The first kanji, kanji means one, the latter one means minute and is pronounced as ‘pun’ or ‘fun’. If the two of it were joined it means one minute and it will be spelled as ‘ippun’.

3.雨の日外へ出ないで、家でゆっくり休みます

Roman Letter :

Ame no hi soto e denaide, uchi de yukkuri yasumimasu.

Meaning :

(I am) not going out on the rainy day, slowly take a rest at home.

 

1)。雨1.かぜ②.あめ3.ゆき4.くき


Answer : 2 (ame)


This kanji represent rain and is spelled as ‘ame’.

2)。外①.そと2.ほか3.どこ4.うち


Answer : 1 (soto)


This kanji in this sentence means outside and is spelled as ‘soto’.

3)。出ない1.いかない2.こない③.でない4.やらない


Answer : 3 (denai)


This kanji is actually a verb which is derived from its dictionary form. The kanji itself is pronounced as ‘deru’ (
出る).


Grammar :

Form: (verb + -masu form 「~ます けい」) + ない

Usage : This form is a negative form or a denial form. It is used to deny something or to make a sentence’s meaning into negative. As we can see,deru (出る) means to go out. So, if we change the verb into the pattern aboveinto denai (出ない), it means not to go out or simply makes a negative meaning.

 

4)。家1.へや2.しつ③.いえ4.みせ

Answer : 3 (ie)


This kanji in this sentence means the speaker’s or the subject’s home. It is spelled as ‘ie’.

 

5)。休み1.のみ2.たのみ3.すみ④.やすみ

Answer : 4(yasumi)

This kanji is also a verb which takes it’s dictionary form as ‘yasumu’(休む)Which means to take a rest, break or holiday.


4.先に食べてください。わたしは後で食べます。

Roman Letter :

Saki ni tabete kudasai. Watashi wa ato de tabemasu.

Meaning :

Please go ahead to eat first. I am going to eat later.

1)。先に1.せんし2.つぎに3.すぐに④.さきに

Answer : 4

Kanji which is pronounced as ‘saki’ means before, previous but in this sentence’s context it means to do something in advance or to do it ahead.

2)。食べて1.とべて2.のべて③.たべて4.くべて

Answer : 3

Kanji 食べる is a verb which is a dictionary form. It means eat.

3)。後で  ①.あとで2.にちで3.ごで4.こうで

Answer : 1

Kanji which is pronounced as ‘ato’ means after, later on or simply a marker to describe a time after or a time later on.
