JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) Answer Sheet Year 1992 3kyuu Level Moji Goi Part 2


1992 3級



JLPT or Japanese Language Proficiency Test for Answer Sheet of the 3rd level (3kyuu) in year 1992 on the Moji Goi  section part 2 will be presented in this article.

Based on the related JLPT Question Sheet, we will give the answer generally according to the passage on the JLPT Question Sheet itself.


Hiragana : とけいをかうおかねがたりなかったので、ともだちにかりました。

Romaji       : tokei wo kau okane ga tarinakatta node, tomodachi ni karimashita.

Meaning     : because (I) didn’t have enough money to buy the watch, I borrowed (some money) from my friend.

1.とけい  1.時形 2.時計 3.時経 4.時型

Answer              : 2

音読み(Chinese Reading)     :(けい)

kunyomi        : (kei)

Meaning        : form

音読み (Chinese Reading)    :(けい)

kunyomi        : (kei)

Meaning        : experience

音読み (Chinese Reading)    :(けい)

Kunyomi        : (kei)

Meaning        : type, proper way

The correct answer is in the second option. Although all of the first kanji are the same, the latter are different. And even though the last letter of kanji in all of the option’s answers are different they have the same pronunciations which is ‘kei’ (けい).

But the correct kanji which has the ‘kei’ (けい) pronunciation for the above question is in the second option.

First   Option             : 貫

音読み          : (かん)

Meaning        : unit of weight or currency

Second Option           : 仮

音読み          : (か)

Meaning        : provisional

Fourth Option            : 員

The other option’s answers are false either based on the pronunciation given above or the appropriate form.

Although all of the option’s answer has similar rhyme in the first kanji pronunciation but the correct one is in the first option.

The correct answer is in the first option. The other option are just false answer as shown below :

Romaji               : kawaru

Meaning           : to change

Third Option                    :

Hiragana            : かす

Romaji               : kasu

Meaning           : to lend

Meaning        : to cross over

The other option’s answers were false answers. Although they have similar pronunciation, they have different kanji pattern.

The correct answer is in the first option. The other options are wrong based on the kanji itself. Although they have different kanji pattern they have similar pronunciation.

Meaning        : to meet

Kanji              : 面

Hiragana       : めん

Romaji           : men

Meaning        : front surface/ face

Fourth Option            :

Romaji           : dai ・tai

Meaning        : (counter for large or big item)


Hiragana       : youji de, kyuu ni kenkyuukai ni shusseki suru koto ga dekinaku narimashita.

Romaji           : because of a certain matter (business to take care of), suddenly I couldn’t attend the research study.

The correct kanji for ‘you’ is用 and ‘ji’ is 事. The other option’s answers just made up.

First Option               :

The correct usage of the first kanji letter in the first option answer is in the word ‘yotei’ (よてい・予定)which can be translated as ‘plan’. The other kanji is actually can be found in the word ‘jikan’ (じかん・時間)which can be translated as ‘time’.

Second Option           :

It is pronounced as ‘yoji’ which canbe translated as 4 o’clock. The first kanji in the option’s answer is a kanji for number 4 (よ・四).

Third Option              :

It is also false answers since that option’s answer is just combination of several kanji in the other options.

Romaji           : sou

Meaning        : already, now, at this time

早速(さっそく)「sassoku (do something immediately)」

Romaji           : sei

Meaning        : life, birth

Kanji Compound Example     :

人生(じんせい)「jinsei(life of o person (general))」

生活(せいかつ)「seikatsu (daily life ; lifestyle)」

The above hiragana and romaji pronunciation are onyomi (音読み・おんよみ)or the Chinese reading.

Answer          : 1

All of the answers except the fourth option are false .Because they are only mixed or combination of several kanjis. All of the kanji’s first and last letter are all the same in every option answers. The difference is shown in the middle kanji letter as shown below :

Hiragana       : きゅう

Romaji           : kyuu

Meaning        : rescue

Kanji Compound Example     : 救急(きゅうきゅう)「kyuukyuu (first-aid, emergency(aid))」

Third Option  :

Meaning        : sturdy

強制 (きょうせい)     「kyousei (obligation, coercion, compulsion, enforcement)」

Fourth Option            :

Kanji              : 教

Hiragana       : きょう

Romaji           : kyou

Meaning        : teach

Kanji Compound Example     :

教室(きょうしつ)          「kyoushitsu (class)」

教示(きょうじ)              「kyouji (instruction)」

教師(きょうし)              「kyoushi (teacher(classroom))」

4.しゅっせき       1.集席 2.主席 3.参席 4.出席

Answer          : 4

The correct answer is in the fourth option. All of the options’s answers ends with the same kanji letter. We will describe the other option’s answers as follows :

First Option               :

Kanji              : 集

Hiragana       : しゅう

Romaji           : shuu

Meaning        : collection, compilation

Kanji Compound Example     : 集中(しゅうちゅう)「consentration」

Second Option           :

Kanji              : 主

Romaji           : san

Meaning        : admin defeat / visit

Romaji           : watashitachi wa kurai yama michi wo chizu wo minagara arukimashita.

Meaning        : We walked at the dark mountain road while looking at the map.

All of the above kanjis are their onyomi (Chinese Reading) and they don’t suit up with the hiragana pronunciation presented in the question except the fourth option.

All of the pronunciation are wrong except in the fourth option. The other options are combination of other false kanji letters.
