Romaji : Kinou no gogo heya de zasshi wo yomimashita.

Meaning : Yesterday evening (I) read a magazine at (my) room.

The correct answer is in the third option. It is a jukugo form or a kanji compound. It is a word which is produced by combining several kanjis. The option of answers above has the correct kanji ending because it has the same form. But the correct starting kanji is in the third form.   The starting kanji in the first option, 干 can be spelled as ‘hoshi’ and translated as dry. The starting kanji in the second option, 牛 can be spelled as ‘ushi’ and translated as cattle, cow. The fourth option, 半 is a starting kanji which is spelled as ‘hon’ and generally can be translated as half.

The first option can be translated as to ask. It is spelled as ‘kikimashita’ and written as ききました. The third option can be translated as ‘shirabemashita’ which mean to search, to investigate. It is written as しらべました. The last option is spelled as ‘toku’ which mean to solve, to explain and it is written as ときました on hiragana.   We will give some certain examples in a form of sentence using the above option answer to give more specific explanation on how to use the option answer :

訊く・きく(kiku) : to ask

読む・よむ(yomu) : to read

Kanji            : 新規を読むことが大好きです。

Hiragana    : しんきをよむことがだいすきです。

Romaji        : Shinki wo yomu koto ga daisuki desu.

Meaning     : I really like reading novel.

調べる・しらべる(shiraberu) : to investigate, to search

Kanji            : 今警察がこの変な事件を調べてみます。

Hiragana    : いまけいさつがこのへんなじけんをしらべてみます。

Romaji        : Ima keisatsu ga kono hen na jiken wo shirabete mimasu.

Meaning     : Right now the police is trying to investigate this strange case.

説く・とく(toku) : to explain, to solve

Kanji            : やっと全部算数の問題を解きました。

Hiragana    : やっとぜんぶさんすうのもんだいをときました。

Romaji        : Yatto zenbu sansuu no mondai wo tokimashita.

Meaning     : At last, (I) solved every math problem.


Romaji : Resutoran wo dete kara nijikan gurai arukimashita.

Meaning : Get out from the restaurant (I) walked for two hourse.

The correct answer is in the second option. The other options are just falsely written and wrongly spelled. The first option is spelled as resutoraso. The third option is spelled as retatoraso and the last option is spelled as retatoran.

It is a kanji combination. All of the answers have similar opening and ending kanji character. All the opening kanji characters are similar. The second kanji character is right in the first and third option. The decisive  one for the correct answer is in the third character. The right character for the third kanji or the last kanji character is in the first option.

Meaning : I take a rest at home Saturday this week.

The other options are false. It is a kanji compound which is a combination of several kanjis. All of the ending kanjis are the same but every answer has different opening kanji letter. The first option, 上 it is a kanji which is a kanji for うえ(ue) and can be translated as on, above, top. The second option, 士(shi) is the opening kanji also a false answer. The last option, the fourth one has止(shi) as the opening kanji which is also a false answer.

All of the answers are similar.

The only difference is in the opening kanji in every option. The first option is actually has the right kanji for やすむ which is the dictionary form of やすみます. The right kanji is休 which is actually written as 休む. So, the first option is definitely false. The third and also the fourth option has an opening kanji written as体. Although it has the similar form as the first and the second options’ opening kanji it is totally different. Kanji 体 is written as からだ(karada) which means body.

Meaning : Last year, there are lots of rain fallen in east of the city.
