Japanese Language Proficiency Test Dokkai Bunpou Part IV Level 4 Year 1995.
Japanese Language Proficiency Test or Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken (日本語能力試験) is one of the means which is used on measuring the ability to speak Japanese Language. Below is the questions which is shown in the 1995’s Japanese Language Proficiency Test Dokkai Bunpou Part IV Level 4.

The answer is in the third option. The first option, sou desu, one of the function of sou desu itself is a positive response in order to give an agreement to a fact or opinion which is given in a sentence. Since it is a positive response the first option is a false answer. The response, iie (いいえ) in the problem is a negative response and it must be followed with another negative response.
The second option, arimasen (ありません) is an example of another negative response but based on the sentence’s context it is not suitable.
The fourth option, wakarimashita (わかりました) which can be translated as ‘understood’ is another form of positive response which explicitly signs that the other party understand what is being stated in the sentence.
