Below is the article concerning on how to answer questions which is presented in Minna no Nihongo 2 chapter 26 section C part 1 on page 7 which is still discussing on using Japanese grammar pattern ‘-n’ (-ん) or -n desu’ (-んです) based on the short conversation’s example which is shown in. In this part, we are changing the verb so it will contain the grammar pattern ‘-n’ (-ん) or -n desu’ (-んです). So based on the short conversation’s example, the question which is displayed will be answered. Several parts of the short conversation was made by acquiring it from the information which is provided in the question. The answer pattern will be shown in form of an example below :
Kanji :
A : すてきな 鞄ですね。どこで 買ったんですか。
B : これですか。エドヤストアで 買いました。
A : わたしは みんな 鞄を 探しているんです。すみませんが、鞄のブランドを教えて いただけませんか。
B : ええ、いいですよ。
Hiragana :
A : すてきな 鞄ですね。どこで 買ったんですか。
B : これですか。エドヤストアで 買いました。
A : わたしは みんな 鞄を 探しているんです。すみませんが、かばんのブランドを教えて いただけませんか。
B : ええ、いいですよ。
Romaji :
A : suteki na kaban desu ne。doko de kattan desuka。
B : kore desuka。Edoya sutoa de kaimashita。
A : watashi mo minna kaban wo sagashite irun desu。sumimasen ga kaban no burando wo oshiete kudasaimasenka。
B : ee, ii desu yo。
Meaning :
A : what a lovely bag。Where did you buy it ?。
B : this is ?。I bought it at the Edoya Store。
A : I am also looking bags for everyone。Excuse me but, could you please kindly inform me what the bag’s brand is ?
B : yes, off course。
In the above example, we have a polite grammar pattern ‘-te itadaku’ besides the grammar pattern which is using –n form. This grammar pattern ‘-te itadaku’ is a polite form of mourau which can be translated as to receive. It can be used when the receiver has a lower status than the person who give.
