We will discuss the usage of ‘dochira’(どちら) in this article. The interrogative pronoun ‘dochira’(どちら) can be used to ask for a direction or a way to get to a certain place or location. The question which is given Shin Nihongo no Kiso I chapter 3 practice B part 2 is in an image form.
So, based on the image we have to create a question using ‘dochira’(どちら) in order to ask a location or place which is displayed in the image.
All of the complete questions is shown in Shin Nihongo no Kiso I chapter 3 practice B part 2 on page 23.
But first of all, we will going to inform a reference that can be used as apattern and also an example based on the pattern :
Pattern
Kanji : 場所 +は+ どちら + ですか
Hiragana : ばしょ +は+ どちら + ですか
Romaji : basho +は+ dochira + desuka
Meaning : which way is + the place ?
Below is the example :
Question
Kanji : 日本大使館 は どちら ですか。
Hiragana : にほんたいしかん は どちら ですか。
Romaji : nihontaishikan wa dochira desuka.
Meaning : which way is the Japanese embassy ?
The answer can be kochira (こちら) or this way、sochira (そちら) or that way and even achira (あちら) or way over there.
Based on the above sample, we can create an interrogative question using interrogative pronoun どちら in order to ask for a way or a direction to a certain location as follows :

Hiragana :トイレは どちらですか。
Romaji :Toire wa dochira desuka.
Meaning :Which way is the toilet ?.
2. Answer :
Hiragana :エレベータは どちらです。
Romaji :Erebe-ta wa dochira desuka.
Meaning :Which way is the elevator ?.
3. Answer :
Hiragana :ビルは どちらですか。
Romaji :Biru wa dochira desuka.
Meaning :Which way is the building ?.

Kanji :事務所は どちらですか。
Hiragana :じむしょは どちらですか。
Romaji :Jimusho wa dochira desuka.
Meaning :Which way is the office ?.
