Particles are parts in Japanese language which is very important. Each particle has its own function when it is used in a sentence. The particle which is going to be discussed is particle de ( で ), particle ( に ), particle ( を ). We are going to give several examples on the usage of each particle in form of a sentence. Later on, it can be used as reference to answer all of the question displayed in Minna no Nihongo I book chapter 7 practice C part 5 in page 63.

Particle de( で )

This particle’s function among several of those are to describe means, way or utility which is used to do , to accomplish or to execute an activity as shown in the example follows :

Kanji                      : 自転車で郵便局へ手紙を送りに行きます。

Hiragana              :じてんしゃでゆうびんきょくへてがみをおくりにいきます。

Romaji                  : jitensha de yuubinkyoku e tegami wo okuri ni ikimasu.

Meaning              : I go to the post office by bicycle to post a letter.

 

Particle ni( に )

The other particle in this context is to point out someone which is in the sentence created to describe giving and receiving act as an indirect object as follows :

Kanji                      : さっきわたしは受付所に荷物をもらいました。

Hiragana              : さっきわたしはうけつけじょうににもつをもらいました。

Romaji                  : sakki watashi wa uketsukejyou ni nimotsu wo moraimashita.

Meaning              : some time ago I received my luggage from the receptionist.

Particle wo( を )

This particle is a particle which is used to point out direct object in a sentence. The example will be presented below :

Kanji                      : 昔から弟の臭味は古銭を集めます。

Hiragana              :むかしからおとうとのしゅうみはこせんをあつめます。

Romaji                  : mukashi kara otouto no shuumi wa kosen wo atsumemasu.

Meaning              : since the old time, my younger brother’s hobby is collecting old coins.

 

Based on the example which is been given, below we will present all of the answer in the form of sentences in Minna no Nihongo I book chapter 7 practice C part 5 in page 63 :

 

1.Answer

Kanji                   :わたしは はし( で )御飯を 食べます。

Hiragana              :わたしは はし( で )ごはんを たべます。

Romaji               :watashi wa hashi ( de ) gohan wo tabemasu.

Meaning           :(I) eat cooked rice with chopstick.

 

2.Answer

Kanji                   : ファックス( で )レポートを 送りました。

Hiragana            : ファックス( で )レポートを おくりました。

Romaji               : fakkusu ( de ) repo-to wo okurimashita.

Meaning           : (I) sent a report with fax (facsimile).

 

3.Answer

Kanji                   : 「さようなら」は 英語 ( で )何ですか。

Hiragana            : 「さようなら」は えいご ( で ) なんですか。

Romaji               : 「sayounara」wa eigo ( de ) nan desuka.

Meaning           :   what do you say「sayounara」in English language ?.

 

4.Answer

Kanji                   : わたしは 昨日 彼女 ( に ) 手紙 ( を ) 書きました。

Hiragana            : わたしは きのう かのじょ ( に ) てがみ ( を )かきました。

Romaji               : watashi wa kinou kanojyo ( ni ) tegami ( wo ) kakimashita.

Meaning           : yesterday I wrote a letter .

 

5.Answer

Kanji                   :わたしは 友達 ( に )お土産 ( を ) もらいました。

Hiragana            :わたしは ともだち ( に )おみやげ ( を )もらいました。

Romaji               : watashi wa tomodachi ( ni ) omiyage ( wo ) moraimashita.

Meaning           : I received a present, souvenir from my friend.
