Japanese Language Lesson Minna no Nihongo 1 Chapter 9 Section B Part 5

This is an article which is used to describe questions given in Minna no Nihongo 1 book chapter 9 section B part 5 in page 76. In this article, to ask a simple question whether someone has or has not an item, things or the possession of something, in Japanese language grammar pattern, particle ga can be used in this term combined with ‘arimasuka’. Since the question ask for the non-living things, ‘arimasuka’ is the suitable vocabulary used to ask for the existence. The combination of it can be seen in the following pattern and it is also followed with an example :

The above pattern is asking about an item which is represented with a noun (meishi) is exist as part of the possession of the subject.

For an example based on the above pattern is shown as follows :

On the above example and patterns showing the existence of an item, belongings or something which is owned by someone using particle ga combined with ‘arimasu’, below are all of the answers of all the questions which can be seen in Minna Nihongo book chapter 9 practice B part 5 page 75 :

１．Answer

Kanji                   :

ミラーさんは　自転車が　ありますか。

。。。はい、あります。

Hiragana            ：

ミラーさんは　じどうしゃが　ありますか。

。。。はい、あります。

Romaji               :

Mira-san wa jidousha ga arimasuka.

… Hai, arimasu.

Meaning             :

Does Mira has a bicycle ?.

… Yes, she has

２．Answer

Kanji                   :

ミラーさんは　ファックスが　ありますか。

。。。いいえ、ありません。

Hiragana            :

ミラーさんは　ファックスが　ありますか。

。。。いいえ、ありません。

Romaji                 :

Mira-san wa fakkusu ga arimasuka。

… Iie, arimasen.

Meaning             :

Does Mira has a fax (facsimile) ?。

… No, she doesn’t.

３．Answer

Kanji                   :

ミラーさんは　お金が　ありますか。

。。。いいえ、ありますん。

Hiragana            :

ミラーさんは　おかねが　ありますか。

。。。はい、あります。

Romaji               :

Mira-san wa okane ga arimasuka.

… Hai, arimasu.

Meaning           ：

Does Mira has a money ?.

… Yes, she has.

Kanji                   ：

ミラーさんはパソコンがありますか。

。。。はい、あります。

Hiragana            ：

ミラーさんはパソコンがありますか。

。。。はい、あります。

Romaji                 :

Mira-san wa pasokon ga arimasuka ?.

… Hai, arimasu.

Meaning           ：

Does Mira has a personal computer ? .

… Yes, she has.
