Japanese Language Book Shin Nihongo no Kiso 1 Chapter 10 Problem B Part 2 in Page 81

This is an article where the main focus is to discuss about answering the problems in the Shin Nihongo no Kiso I book. Actually, the question sheet is in Chapter 10 Section B Part 1 in page 81.  But in order to answer the questions, there are special grammar pattern to achieve it. That grammar pattern is the pattern for the sentence as the answer of the questions. The pattern is in pair of question and answer. The question is asking for the existence of who or what in a certain place. On the other hand, the answer is giving the answer of the questions. It will give information about someone or something that exist in that place. Moreover  it also give information if there aren’t anything in that place. The following is the grammar pattern for checking the existence of a thing and also the possible answer for it :

Pattern :

Kanji : 場所 だれ + いますか
ありますか
Hiragana : ばしょ だれ + ありますか・いますか
なに いますか
Romaji : basho ni dare + ga arimasuka / imasuka
nani
Meaning : place ni particle who + ga particle is exist ?
What

 

Example :

Kanji :

台所にだれがいますか。

お母さんがいます。

Hiragana :

だいどころにだれがいますか。

おかあさんがいます。

Romaji :

Daidokoro ni dare ga imasuka.

Okaasan ga imasu.

Meaning :

Who is there in the kitchen.

There is Mom in the kitchen.

 

The above example is showing a pair of question and answer. The purpose of the question is to ask the existence of someone in a certain place. The pattern is ‘-ga imasuka ?’. The following is another example for asking not for a living being but for a non-living thing. Off course it will ask thing that are not human, animals and even plants. The example will be in the following table :

Example :

Kanji :

そこの部屋で机の上に何がありますか。

新しいコンピューター雑誌がいます。

Hiragana :

そこのへやでつくえのうえになにがりますか。

あたらしいコンピューターざっしがいます。

Romaji :

Soko no heya de tsukue no ue ni nani ga arimasuka.

Atarashii konpyuutaa zasshi ga imasu.

Meaning :

At that room, what is there on top of the table ?.

There is a new computer magazine.

 

The pattern above is informing who or what is in the location being asked. Either it is a living object like human, plants, animal or a non-living object in that place. More over, it will inform either there are someone or something but also if there are nothing at all. Just look at the image provided in the question to answer the questions correctly. It will give the questions according the image. So, the following is the answer sheet of the problems or questions exist in  Chapter 10 Section B Part 2 in page 81 :

1. Answer :

Kanji :
テレビの 上に 何が ありますか。

本が あります。

Hiragana :

テレビの うえに なにが ありますか。

ほんが あります。

Romaji :

Terebi no ue ni nani ga arimasuka.

Hon ga arimasu.

 

Meaning :

What is there on top of the television ?

There is a book.

 

2. Answer :

Kanji :
うちの 中に だれが いますか。

ハンさんが います。

Hiragana :

うちの なかに だれが いますか。

ハンさんが います。

Romaji :

Uchi no naka ni dare ga imasuka ?.

Han-san ga imasu.

Meaning :

Is there anyone at home ?

There is Han.

 

3. Answer :

Kanji :
ハンさんの後ろに 何が ありますか。

ドアが あります。

Hiragana :

ハンさんのうしろに なにが ありますか。

ドアが あります。

Romaji :

Han-san no ushiro ni nani ga arimasuka ?.

Doa ga arimasu.

 

Meaning :

What is there behind Han ? .

There is a door.

 

4. Answer :

Kanji :
庭に だれが いますか。

だれも いません。

Hiragana :

にわに だれが いますか。

だれも いません。

Romaji :

Niwa ni dare ga imasuka.

Dare mo imasen.

Meaning :

Is there anyone in the yard (garden) ?.

There is no one in the yard (garden).

 

5. Answer :

Kanji :
箱の 中に 何が ありますか。

何も ありません。

Hiragana :

はこの なかに なにが ありますか。

なにも ありません。

Romaji :

Hako no naka ni nani ga arimasuka.

Nani mo arimasen.

Meaning :

What are there inside the box ? .

There aren’t anything.

 

Those are the possible answers for the questions sheets informing the existence of someone or something in a certain place. But what is the reference for giving the correct answer ?. According to the previous explanation, actually there is one big image describing a living place consist of a room and a yard. The answer will be available according that image. So, check the image further in Shin Nihongo no Kiso I Chapter 10 Section B Part 2 in page 81.
